The 17th Jack H. Johnson Moot Court Competition on WTO Law (ELSA) took place in Geneva from June 4 to 8, 2019. The team representing W.B National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata was given a sponsorship to participate in the said competition by Maadhyam.
Council for Conflict Resolution-Maadhyam is supporting handicapped and underprivileged children in pursuing their legal education. Maadhyam is doing this through IDIA.
Every year, IDIA selects and trains promising young students to crack top law entrance examinations such as CLAT and AILET. These students are from marginalized and underprivileged backgrounds, and would not get this opportunity without the support from IDIA.
To be selected as an IDIA trainee, they have gone through a rigorous selection process involving an aptitude test, an interview and a thorough background check. They have been selected from hundreds of prospective candidates.
These students have been studying hard for the past one to two years to crack these law entrance examinations. The volunteers from top law colleges across India have been working continually and training them for these entrance examinations. These students have passed various mock tests by IDIA. The only thing standing in their way is the high application fees of the law entrance examinations!
