Advocate Sweta Kakkad was felicitated in a ceremony organized by Maadhyam International Council for Conflict Resolution in Delhi on her being appointed member of Competition Commission of India (CCI). Ms Sweta has been one of the founder members of Maadhyam International.

Maadhyam president Sr. Adv. Amarjit Singh Chandhiok while recounting the days when Ms Sweta worked in his office as a legal associate said, she has been a thorough professional and a hard worker to the core. He said reaching this stage of being appointed as the member of CCI is the result of her consistent hard work and a complete dedication and commitment towards the legal profession. "Her appointment as a member of CCI is not only her individual achievement but also a proud moment for Maadhyam. She is a very hardworking, committed person and a visionary to the core", emphasised Mr Chandhiok adding,  "I trust her experience and knowledge as a mediator would come handy in delivering her work at CCI". Ms Sweta has also been a trained mediator.

Visibly emotional Sweta, while recalling her days at the office of her mentor and senior Mr Chandhiok said, "what I learned through my journey with this office and Maadhyam would definitely keep on inspiring me and take me forward in profession. This ride would continue with a greater awareness towards responsibilities, duties with a resolve to fulfilling the expectations".

Amita Sehgal, Chairperson, Maadhyam youth Forum, recalled how she and Sweta while working together in early years of their career knew each other and remained friend for life and how she has seen Sweta, "evolve and transform".

Maadhyam members and office bearers and governing body members gathered in the capital to congratulate their colleague and founder member in celebrating her success and wishing her all the best for her future journey.
