Global Challenges Forum (GCF) and Maadhyam, International Council for Conflict Resolution are initiating ‘GCF-Maadhyam Lecture Series’ in India on 18th May, 2022. The objective of this program is to empower and build young leaders and to develop strong institutions, by learning and utilizing skills of negotiation and mediation. The focus of the lecture series would be on the goals notified by United Nations for sustainable development namely ‘PEACE’, ‘JUSTICE’ and ‘STRONG INSTITUTIONS’. The first lecture series will be attended by youngsters from colleges and universities, from all over India, between the age of 18-35 years.
The youngsters will gain information and knowledge from various speakers from GCF, including Walter Christman, Beatrice Bressan, John Samuel and Dr. Sanaya Nariman, about the projects and activities undertaken by GCF, towards achieving the sustainable development goals of United Nations.
Mr. Amarjit Singh Chandhiok, Senior Advocate will enlighten the youngsters about various aspects of mediation and it’s relevance in achieving win-win solutions and importance of interest based framework for problem solving as young leaders, ultimately leading to quality and strong institutions.
